Several Bollywood actors shared their love for the Maldives and their experiences. Actress Shilpa Shetty expressed her fondness for the islands, saying, ” I have been to many resorts, including Taj and Kanuhura, many times—definitely 10 times now. My kids and I enjoyed every trip to the Maldives. The clean white sand and the sea on the beaches are so beautiful. The food is delicious, and the weather is fantastic, so there is no reason not to go to the Maldives.”
Karishma Kapoor also spoke about her admiration for the Maldives, particularly the beaches. “Who doesn’t love a stunning beach, especially the ones in the Maldives? I’m eager to visit again soon,” she said, adding that the meeting with President Muizzu was an important step in boosting tourism between India and the Maldives.

Deep sea diving is something I love, so it’s a paradise on earth, seeing beautiful corals, mantas, sting rays, and whale sharks. Here I met my husband, fell in love, and got married. Now I have come to celebrate my birthday and my son’s birthday. I have very happy and lovely memories in the Maldives” she reminisced.
Other stars, like Sonakshi Sinha and Sunny Kaushal, also expressed their love for the Maldives, with Sinha calling it one of her favorite places, saying, “I visit almost every year—it’s truly paradise on earth.”
This initiative aims to strengthen the tourism connection between India and the Maldives while encouraging Bollywood to use the islands as a filming location.
