Bangkok Post features the Maldives for its 2M readers

A marketing campaign to exhibit the unique sights and experiences offered by the coral haven was launched by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) along with Thailand’s Bangkok Post. Bangkok Post is a leading English-language mass publication in Thailand. The journal has a monthly readership of over 2 million in the Asian market. This month-long campaign starting in July will prove to be beneficial in strengthening the brand visibility of the Maldives in the Thai market and boost the arrival figures from the SEA market.

Thailand is a key source market in the South East Asian (SEA) area. As the Maldives tourism industry recovers from the pandemic, the SEA market has shown to be a promising and attractive outlet. Given the market’s prominence, numerous events have been planned for and carried out throughout the year.

Major travel expos like MATTA 2023 in Malaysia and ADEX Ocean Mission 2023 in Singapore have so far promoted the Maldives as a travel destination. For the remainder of 2023, more activities are planned for this market as well, such as a media campaign, a roadshow for the Maldives in South East Asia, and attendance at the NATAS Holiday 2023 and ITB Asia 2023 fairs.
