Maldivian Partners with Qatar Airways to Enhance Connectivity and Travel Convenience
Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has announced a new partnership with Qatar Airways, designed to streamline travel for passengers heading to the Maldives. This strategic alliance allows travelers to book both Maldivian and Qatar Airways flights on a single ticket, simplifying their journey to the Maldives.
With this partnership, passengers can now enjoy seamless transitions from Qatar Airways’ international flights to Maldivian’s domestic routes upon arrival at Velana International Airport. This collaboration aims to make travel to the Maldives more convenient and accessible, boosting tourism to the region.
Ismail Amrah Umar, Maldivian’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its benefits, including coordinated flight schedules, competitive fares, and expanded access to 17 domestic destinations across the Maldives. These destinations include popular tourist spots such as Dharavandhoo, Fuvahmulah, Gan, and Hanimaadhoo.
Maldivian, known for its extensive domestic network and international routes to nearby countries like Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka, is expected to further strengthen its position in the aviation industry through this partnership. By teaming up with Qatar Airways, Maldivian continues to enhance the travel experience for visitors, making it easier than ever to explore the Maldives.
