Minister of Tourism Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom wishes China to regain its position as top market source for the Maldives
In his recent statement made while speaking on Monday on RaajjeTV’s ‘Falasurukhee’ program, Minister of Tourism, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom said that the number one position of the tourist market of the Maldives needs to be returned to the Chinese tourist market
Minister Mausoom also noted that by the end of January 2023, the Maldives would be welcoming Chinese tourists as the country is ready to open its doors to the Chinese Market.
Expressing his faith in the Health Ministry of Maldives, Minister of Tourism, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom noted that the Health Ministry will take necessary steps regarding the Covid-19 situation in China and will be working together to ensure the safety of everyone.
Looking at the statistics, Minister Mausoom stated that the Maldives will see an increase of 700 percent in the arrivals from the Chinese market as Chinese tourists are eager to visit the Maldives. The Minister also stated that Chinese visitors always spend well during their stay.
2023 will see 100,000 tourist arrivals from China to the Maldives, while also witnessing an increase in arrivals from other markets as well. Minister Mausoom also commended the remarkable feat achieved by The Maldives for being named the World’s Leading Destination for three consecutive years.
