MITT Two prestigious titles won by the Maldives

At the recent Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, Maldives has won two titles at a time. Bright Exhibiting Award and Best Island Presentation- both these awards will make the island country more popular among tourists. The 3-day fair held in Moscow has given Maldives an opportunity to win these awards. Since the opening of the borders, the first fair was on July 2020.

Thoyyib Mohamed, the MD of Visit Maldives, felt gratified by the positive remarks on the Maldives. Due to the attractive and stunning presentation, the island country has grabbed awards.

The new awards will encourage the tourism industry to make better efforts to serve tourists. Most importantly, Russia is one of the top-performing and highly targeted markets for the tourism sector in the Maldives.

The Maldivian stand displays the natural aesthetics of the country with attractive visuals. Tourists can visit the stall to watch a 360-degree video about the picturesque scenes of the country.

The Maldivian stand has drawn the attention of several international players in the tourism industry. Lots of decision-makers have shown their interest in Maldives.

The most prominent B2B tourism exhibition in Russia is MITT. It is the most important sector where travel agents can communicate with tour operators and other service providers. At present, more than MITT has more than 1,500 participants from different countries.

The latest study indicates the strong position of the Russian market in the Maldives. More than 40,698 tourists arrive in the island country.
