More flights coming in from India to Maldives

Maldives, one of the biggest names in the tourism industry leaves a permanent mark on the hearts of the thousands of visitors it welcomes every day. Out of the 639,418 tourists that visited the country between the month of January and May 2022 an astonishing inflow of  79,000 was from India contributing to 12.9 percent of the total arrival count. As stated by the ministry India now holds a place in the top 10 source market list.

Here’s some exciting news for people of India thinking of visiting the reef fringed islands.

The travelers will now see an increase in the number of flights from the Trivandrum international airport to Maldives. The number has been increased for the flights to Hanimaadhoo island with the Maldivian Airlines. With the new two days of service to Hanimaadhoo a week, the flight will touch down in Tiruvananthapuram on Sundays at 2:40 am and Thursdays and will return at 3:40 am.

The tourists will also enjoy a five day of increased service to Male starting May 29th. The current service on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, now will be extended to Wednesdays and Sundays.

In addition to the above, more good news follows for residents of the Maldives who seek medical treatment in the medical institutions of Kerala won’t have to wait the extra days.
