The President of the Maldives visits the MMPRC
The office of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) had a surprise visit from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Monday. MMPRC and its invaluable contribution to the tourism industry and also its vital role in representing the Maldives as the Worlds leading destination globally was recognized and commended by the President.
At the WTA Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2022 in Muscat, Oman which was held on November 11, 2022, the Maldives made history by securing the title of World’s Leading Destination for the third consecutive year adding to this glorious moment the title of ‘World’s Leading Tourism Board’ was claimed by MMPRC, this being the first time ever any tourist organization of the Maldives has received this award.
The tireless efforts of the MMPRC staff during the harsh times of the COVID-19 pandemic were commended by the president during his conversation with the employees. Tourism being the mainstay of the country’s economy, complete cooperation and support of the administration have been assured to the MMPRC by the President.
MMPRC commemorated the President with a plaque of appreciation along with a copy of “Tales of Maldives”. The president was given a book highlighting the company’s accomplishments in 2021.
