From April 3–5, 2023, Maldives Marketing & PR Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) along 15 business partners attended WTM Latin America (WTM LATAM) at José Bernardo Pinto, 333, Vila Guilherme So Paulo, Brazil.
In the region, WTM LATAM is a well-known trade show. By taking part in this event, we will be able to contact with the travel industry, build the Maldives’ brand presence in Latin America, and provide information on the most recent developments in the Maldives tourism sector.
One of the main business-to-business travel and tourism events in Latin America, WTM LATAM presents fantastic commercial prospects and returns on investments. Access to qualified and relevant buyers, influencers, and experts in the travel and tourism business is made available through the fair. This year, 565 exhibiting firms and over 20,000 key tourism industry experts participated.
This year, MMPRC displayed the Maldives at a 60 sqm booth that perfectly captured the island nation’s breath-taking scenery. The industry partners had the ideal venue at the booth to display their goods, services, and facets of the Maldives tourism sector. In order to increase the connections between the Latin American and Maldivian tourism markets, MMPRC’s industry partners had the chance to connect with the Latin American market and establish commercial links.
By March 23rd 2023, The Maldives had received 19,865 visitors from the Latin American market.
