Liveaboards and the diving industry of the Maldives promoted by NBAM at the Dive Mena Expo 2023

The Dive MENA Expo 2023 was held in Dubai Harbour starting from the 1st of March to the 5th of March 2023. The National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) participated in the Dive MENA Expo 2023 to promote local liveaboards and the diving industry of the Maldives under the support of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives).

The five-day Dive MENA Expo is a key dive event in Dubai since 2008. Manufacturers, suppliers, yachting elite, and customers are all gathered under one roof for this event to gain diving and liveaboard experience. The National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) has been sponsored by MMPRC to promote and support the service providers of the Maldivian diving and liveaboard industry in front of a global audience.

Sponsoring NBAM has helped MMPRC to advertise dive experiences and promote local liveaboards unique to the Maldives. The Dive MENA Expo 2023 is an extended effort of the MMPRC to create brand awareness and further strengthen its hold over potential key markets. From January – December 2022 Maldives recorded over 1,675,303 arrivals from The Middle East making it one of the key markets to the Maldives. MMPRC has been conducting several activities such as the  Cozmo Travel Campaign to boost the arrival count from the Middle East.
