Visit Maldives targeting the Italian market in TTG 2021

Visit Maldives participated in TTG Travel Experience 2021 with several other industry partners. The major purpose of this participation is to keep up the momentum in Italy. TTG has continued from 13th to 15th October 2021.

In Italy, TTG Travel Experience has become a prominent B2B event to promote the global standard tourism. It gives the biggest opportunity to networking with international operators. The companies have learned about the latest trends in the industry.

In total, 8 industry partners have participated in the event. Visit Maldives has tried to maintain its market for Italian tourists. The event has promoted Maldivian hotels, resorts, liveaboards, and guesthouses.

According to Visit Maldives, as there are scattered islands in the Maldives, it helps in maintaining social distancing. Thus, tourists can choose it as the safest destination. The event also provided the travel guidelines related to the Maldives.

Different tour operators that have joined the event are Visit Maldives, The Barefoot Eco Hotel, Sun Ocean Pvt. Ltd., Lux South Ari Atoll Maldives, Sun Travel & Tours, Grand Beach Dhigurah, and Resort Life Travel Pvt. Ltd.

Visit Maldives has found a chance to make its marketing strategy more effective to grab the Italian market. The company has already taken part in other activities to target the market. 

Ongoing activities comprise a joint Campaign with Alpitour and Bluvacanze. The company has thought of some activities in the future. 

Before the beginning of the pandemic period, Maldives receives 46,690 arrivals from Italy. However, in due course, the number has declined. The goal of Visit Maldives is to retain the pre-pandemic status.
