At the TTG Travel Experience 2023, which took place from October 11 to October 13 at Italy’s Rimini Expo Centre, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) presented the Sunny Side of Life. To increase the destination’s presence in the Italian market, MMPRC participated in the show with a total of 33 co-exhibitors.
TTG Travel Experience is one of the most important marketing events in Italy for promoting worldwide travel. They provide different business development options, including the opportunity for players in the tourist industry to promote their products and services to a large audience of B2B professionals and consumers. The show serves as a premier venue for industry partners to reveal their most recent ideas, engage with new partners, and develop old ties in the Italian market.
The Italian market is traditionally robust, ranking third in terms of source markets in 2019. Arrivals have increased by 31.1% year on year as of June 2023. So far this year, the Maldives has received around 84,093 tourists from Italy. Through a 360-degree marketing approach, MMPRC continually strengthens the Maldives’ position in the Italian market.
The actions conducted by MMPRC are a component of our main plan to give each Italian visitor an exceptional experience in the Sunny Side of Life.At significant trade events like EUDI 2023, which will be held in Bologna from October 13–15, 2023, Visit Maldives will represent Destination Maldives. It is anticipated that there will be a significant increase in Italian arrivals to the Maldives at the end of this year as a result of the start of direct ITA Airways flights there under seasonal flight operations.
