Visit Maldives Dazzles Dubai with Immersive Maldivian Evening at ATM 2025

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) successfully hosted “Maldivian Evening 2025” at the Theatre of Digital Art (TODA) in Dubai, delivering an immersive multi-sensory experience that showcased the Maldives’ rich culture, natural beauty, and luxury tourism. Held alongside ATM 2025, the event brought together travel trade professionals, media, influencers, VIPs, and government stakeholders for an evening that highlighted the essence of Maldivian heritage and hospitality.

The evening began with a Maldivian-themed red carpet reception, followed by personalised tours of TODA’s interactive spaces guided by Visit Maldives officials. In his welcome address, the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mr. Thoriq Ibrahim, emphasized the Maldives’ deep-rooted values of sustainability, warm hospitality, and cultural preservation, stating that the Maldivian experience is defined by its people and their connection to the natural environment.

Event highlights included the premiere of the short film “Dhivehi Dreams,” a theatrical and culinary performance of the traditional folklore “Dhon Hiyala & Alifulhu,” and a fashion show that fused traditional Maldivian attire with contemporary design. Guests also enjoyed live music, cultural dances, and a curated buffet of Maldivian fusion cuisine, each dish accompanied by storytelling elements. Interactive zones featured 360° immersive experiences, virtual reality tours of the Maldives’ ecosystems, and live demonstrations of traditional crafts.

A standout segment of the evening was the “Synergy of Art and Sound,” where acclaimed artist Raappe created a live painting in harmony with dynamic music. The event concluded with a powerful performance by Maldivian band Skyrock, blending local rhythms with global beats.

CEO and Managing Director of Visit Maldives, Mr. Ibrahim Shiuree, noted that “Maldivian Evening 2025” was a distinctive opportunity to bring the stories, spirit, and sensory richness of the Maldives to Dubai. The event forms a key part of Visit Maldives’ strategy to redefine destination marketing through cultural immersion and storytelling, further reinforcing the Maldives’ position as a leading luxury and experiential travel destination in the Middle East and beyond.
