Destination Awareness of the Maldives to Grow in Italy

After conducting over 260 different marketing strategies across the globe to showcase the Maldives as the World’s Leading Destination, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC / Visit Maldives) has set the Italian market as their next target. MMPRC will be participating in TTG Travel Experience 2022. Starting from the 12th of October till the 14th of October, TTG will be held in Rimini, Italy. Alongside 22 industry partners, this will be an excellent promotional and networking opportunity for MMPRC and other tourism industry stakeholders of the Maldives to boost destination presence in the Italian market.

Providing an opportunity to network, exchange views and ideas and deliver new contracts, TTG Travel Experience is one of the biggest B2B fairs in Italy. TTG is organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG).

Marketing the Maldives’ security and privacy-driven experience of the scattered islands will be the aim of MMPRC for the TTG. Furthermore, tourism products of the Maldives such as resorts, hotels, and guesthouses, and experiences unique to the country such as the one-island-one-resort concept will also be marketed at the event.

In the list of the top market sources, Italy comes in at the fifth position with a total arrival count of 70,943 tourists, with this marketing effort the traditionally strong relations with Italy will be further strengthened.
