The Luxurious Experiences of the Maldives Showcased at ILTM Cannes 2022

ILTM Cannes 2022 was held at Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, Cannes, France from the 5th of December to the 8th.  Along with 14 industry partners, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) participated in the ILTM Cannes 2022 where they showcased the unique experiences offered by the Maldives and connected with the top travel trade buyers.

Over the years ILTM Cannes has become one of the top luxury travel trade fairs and has been recognized globally as a platform for travel trade partners from France and other markets. The four-day event provides invaluable exposure and opportunity for meetings with exclusive travel designers.

For the ILTM Cannes 2022, MMPRC’s marketing strategy focused on showcasing deluxe products, services, and high-end experiences, in addition to providing the latest travel information to audiences from France and other major markets. To connect and network with trade buyers from France and strengthen pre-existing relationships MMPRC conducted B2B meetings with travel trade partners. This effort will be beneficial in cultivating the high-end market of the Maldives

With an arrival count of 40,048 tourists, France currently stands as the 7th top source market for the Maldives, this has been achieved by conducting over 150 marketing activities and participating in fairs and exhibitions, media interviews, and familiarisation trips.
